A New Day, A Fresh Start, A New Year!

A New Day, A Fresh Start, A New Year!

Tomorrow will be a new day, a fresh start, and a new year! 2016 will hold 12 months, 52 weeks, 366 days (leap year), 8,784 hours, 527,040 minutes, and 31,622,400 seconds! Your heart will beat approximately 42,163,200 times, your lungs will fill with air approximately 8,432,640 times, your eyes will blink approximately 5,270,400 times, you will take approximately 732,000 steps, and you'll speak anywhere from 1,830,000 to 5,490,000 words (depending of if you're a man or woman....  Source: Book, "Men are Pigs, (fortunately women like pork)" lol Jeff Steele, Melbourne, Florida, US) all in 2016!

If you're like me, that just made me take a step back! Here's a sobering reality...... we had the same amount of each of these in 2015. My questions are these, how many of these were used for the glory of Almighty God? How many were used to fulfill my purpose in Him? How many of these were used for the furtherance of the Gospel? How many of these were simply "WASTED?"

So often we're guilty of believing that the only time we fulfill the flesh is when we DO something that satisfies it. The problem with that is, we forget that NOT DOING is a decision as well and many times NOT DOING what we're led to do by the Spirit fulfills the lazy, fearful, ashamed flesh that we so earnestly want to leave in the past! I know I'm a new creature and old things are past away but so many of my actions, and non actions alike, seem to resuscitate that old corpse thats out to destroy me! Dead weight really is hard to carry, physically and spiritually!

With every passing year, every success, every failure, and every regret I learn more about who I really am but I find out so much more of who God is! How gracious, how long suffering, how merciful, how patient He is! As much as I feel that I completely destroyed 2015 here I am being granted a new year by this awesome merciful God!  As many heartbeats that I've wasted, after so many words that were spoken in vain yet here comes another opportunity to preach the Word, to speak life into others, to actually make a change in this ugly world!

This past year has been a rollercoaster to say the least. I've burned some bridges, I've started new journey's at the cost of ending others, I've seen change after change, I've experienced joy, heartache, peace, turmoil, success, defeat, gain, and loss! Some were self inflicted, some were not, some were overcame, some were not! Yet through all of my defeats and failures in 2015 there's this overwhelming force that says "press on," "I believe in you," and "it's not over!" Even when I've felt neglected, alone, set aside, unworthy, hopeless, forsaken, and hurt He's still standing there cheering me on, lifting me up, tending my wounds, and through it all, exalting Himself above all things through a vessel as tainted as me! That gives me the motivation to press on, the will to believe, the heart to keep on trying! The saying goes, "there are those who have failed and succeeded and those who have never tried!" I preached the hardest yet most passionate message I've ever preached this past year on William Borden and his testimony of no reserves, no retreats, and no regrets. My year has been filled with reserves, retreats, and regrets but tomorrow, oh tomorrow is a clean slate, a new year, a new day!

So in the coming year I hope you can join me. May we resolve to devote every moment, every heartbeat, every word, every situation to the glorifying, magnifying, and proclaiming of the Grace, the Love, and the Mercy of our God that we love! If we love Him, it's the least that we can do. May you and your family be blessed this coming year!

Seven Signs Of A Dying Church!

Seven Signs Of A Dying Church!

As a Pastor for several years, a born again Christian for 14 years, and a church attender for the entirety of my life, I've been in several "seasons" in the life of a congregation! I've been there for the birth and maturing of a church, the booming growth of a church, the plateau of a church, and sadly the decline of a church. There are numerous reasons for each season, some controllable and some beyond our reach.

Today I want to focus on seven specific things that are signs of a dying church. Controllable problems that can be reversed! The sad part is this, many see the problem as someone and something else! We must ALL examine ourselves from time to time and be brutally honest with our own reflection. So as you read through this blog and you feel that you're a part of a dying church then evaluate yourself and see  if you're the problem, and if not, how you can help in the revival of your church! Maybe your church is booming, ALIVE, and growing. I ask you to be honest with yourself and see if any of these apply to you. Because no matter how well the church is doing now, if these things persist, IT WILL DIE!

1.) The Prevalence of an Unteachable Spirit!

Every church has them, those who know everything! You know who I'm talking about. Those who say, "I don't want to hear the facts, I know what I believe!" When you feel as if you have it figured out, you're in serious trouble! As I said, every church has at least one person with an unteachable spirit but when a church reaches a tipping point is when the congregation is by majority, unteachable, or even worse, when the leaders are unteachable! The majority of the congregation may be thirsting and hungry for the Word and knowledge but if the leadership is unteachable, that church is destined to die! I've seen it first hand, the Lord begins to move in a direction the leaders have never been before, a direction the Lord is trying to use to teach them something, and in fear and pride they cause the push of the Holy Spirit to dwindle leaving a congregation like a ship without a rudder! We will never know it all, we should ever be growing, our vision may change, our understanding will change, and if you haven't learned anything new about the Word recently, this may be you!

2.) Tradition Before Mission!

When a church begins to hold tradition over the mission (the great commission) the church will die! The church has always been changing, evolving, maturing over its 2000+ years! Those afraid of change are those afraid of being uncomfortable! The greatest seasons of growth in a church are typically on the tail end of a major change! Whether it be style, order, remodel, or so on, there are times when change is necessary! To some, any change means compromise but to those who understand the church, the Word, and God's direction, we know that certain change is not only good, but necessary! Beware the moment that changes halt, leaders become comfortable and stagnant because at that moment a shift from growth to death has taken place!

3.) Elder to Youth Discipleship Is Absent!

One thing that most churches and christians alike fail to realize is that we're here to make disciples of Jesus Christ! The great commission wasn't to a select few but unto us all. Scripture teaches us that the elders are to teach the younger. The problem is that the elders don't respect the youth, don't desire to teach them, and feel that since they have little in common, becoming intertwined is useless. On the other hand, the youth fail to see the value in the wisdom of the elder, they fail to take the initiative to attach themselves to an elder, and many, in their youthful pride, think they can figure it out and make it through alone! The sad part is that neither realize the damaging effects of each others actions! If there is an absence of elder to youth discipleship, your church is doomed to die!

4.) Lack of Diversity!

I love to walk into a church that is filled with diversity! I love it when I see a 2 month old baby and an 85 year old saint on the same row! I love to see a church that has a passion for different ethnicities, ages, classes, and backgrounds. If your church has a narrow age range, one ethnicity, and people who seem to act, look, and be the same, then your church is either already dead or dying.

5.) Doctrine and Theology Are Absent From the Pulpit!

I like all styles of preaching from topical to expository and I personally think a diversity in the pulpit is beneficial to both the preacher and the congregation but when there is never a time of deep theological thought or strict doctrine being preached and taught from the leaders of the church then the congregation will be shallow in their knowledge and spiritual thinking. A little knowledge is dangerous, especially concerning God's Word and eternity! Many christians wouldn't even be able to tell you the fundamentals of the doctrine of the church they attend because pulpits across the globe are used as a place to pitch a cheap Grace more than a Grand God!

6.) Outreach is Obsolete!
If the only things your church does benefits or includes the people that attend there then your church isn't dying, it's dead! The lack of compelling compassion, a compassion that motivates you to action in the community, is a sign of a selfish assembly that lacks the understanding of the Gospel and are ultimately blind and probably lost! If your church has failed to impact the community around it, you don't have a church, you have a social club!

7.)  No Recent Converts!

The one thing that is essential for the church to continue to live is for souls to be born again! If people aren't experiencing salvation, conversion by the power of the Holy Spirit in your church then the Holy Spirit may not abide there! And if the Holy Spirit isn't there then there is no life there! Life comes through the preaching of God's Word, the moving of the Spirit and the result is what the Bible says as "adding unto the church DAILY such that should be saved!" If the church has lost it's passion for the lost, the inability to present them the Gospel, and the lack of fervor to continually invest into them then converts will be few and the church will be DEAD!

I pray this has helped, I pray we'll all do a self examination and make sure we as individuals will do our best not to contribute to the death of the place of worship we attend! God bless!

A Skewed Spiritual Fulfillment!

Have you ever felt really good about something Spiritual taking place in your life? I have many times in my walk with Christ, through many of the ministries I've been a part of, and life victories empowered by the Spirit. But, I've found that many times our selfish human nature treasures some of these moments more than others. I had a huge awakening recently that took me back, I was guilty of the one thing that I despise that plagues churches around the world every day! That pet peeve of mine, that I said I'd never let happen again, slipped right by me undetected! Let me fill you in...... I feel that churches are plagued by a selfish "its about us" attitude. I don't think its on purpose most of the time but its still prevelant! For example, take an inventory of the church you attend. What are the ministries, the functions, the activities? The next question is this, who do those things benefit? The people inside the walls or those without? Typically, the answer is always the same, it benefits YOU! OK, so now you know my peeve so lets get on with the story. You see, I began a new work in April and God has put together a mighty core of people and our vision is to BE the hands and feet of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We want to be doers of the Word! Evangelism, Discipleship, missions, outreach, and community relations top the list of our passions! So as we're outgrowing our place of worship we began the work of finding a new home. Last Friday we made the desicion to try a new place and we're set to be there this coming Sunday. Well here's my confession that I revealed to our people on Sunday night. Sunday morning was awesome, songs were great, announcing the good news had everyone in a great mood (you see we presently meet in an old chicken coop, seriously lol), and the Spirit of God began to move during the sermon. I could see it on the faces of many. There was someone there that I had personally been praying for, praying for God to move in their life. As the altar call was given this someone comes forward and surrenders to Christ! Now understand, I was extatic! The problem came that afternoon, as I was sitting on my couch contemplating the message God had given me for the night worship I was pierced through by conviction!  As I sat there God brought back to my memory my personal actions of late, I saw the MANY people I had told about our move, I saw the many times I spoke about it on social media, I thought about "the feeling" it gave me. Then He showed me how I hadn't even mentioned how God saved another one from Hell that morning, how shallow and quick "the feeling" was about the move God had made, how NOT ONCE I had blasted social media with the story of this someone's redemption! I was floored, sad, I felt ignorant, ashamed, and I repented! You see, I was more excited about "the move" and the dinner we was having after our first service there, than the soul and life that God had miraculously intervened in! I confessed that night and challenged our people! I told them there was no way that the first thing we did as a group would be for our own benefit! This Saturday, a day before we ever step foot in the new place, we are taking our shoes of comfort, complacency, and ease off and stepping into our communities to impact the people outside the walls instead of pampering the ones within! Don't let this attitude slip in on you, trust me, I despised it, yet fell for it!

"Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?"

"Why Do Bad Things Happen To Good People?"
In ministry, I get this question a lot. Sometimes I'm asked and sometimes I just see it in the eyes of someone who is suffering pain, hurt, loss, or dismay. For many years it was a tough question to wrap my brain around! Even I didn't get it. I mean, how could a loving God, full of mercy and grace, allow cancer to plague a man who devoted his life to him? Or how could he allow a Godly woman to be raped? How could he allow children to be molested, elderly left to die, children to starve to death, mass wars, mass famine, hurt, pain, death, and so on, and so on, and........... I mean I could go on forever.

Recently I watched a good man fight cancer. To the death, he was a warrior. He was a "good" man. As an 8 year old boy I watched my own mamma fight cancer, looking like death walking after every treatment. She won the battle but why did she have to endure such pain? She was a "good" woman!
Many times when people see bad things happen to "good" people it does one of two things, it draws us to God or pushes us away. When people don't understand, it tends to push them away. They get angry, bitter, and fighting mad. I was the opposite, as it drew me closer to God. I wanted to know Him, understand Him, I craved Him!

That's the difference, we tend to make judgments, assertions based on man's view. In my eyes my mamma was the best. An honorable woman who loved God, she had devoted herself to him and her family. She loved me unconditionally. Why would such a "good" woman have to endure such grief?
But what was God's view? Was my mamma a "good" woman in the eyes of God? That's the question it took for me to "get it." If we would look through the eyes of God we would understand so much more. The Word of God is a portal through the eyes of God, though His thoughts are far above our thoughts and His ways far above our ways, the Bible is a glimpse of the thought pattern of God. He reveals His motives, His directions, and His pleasures through His Word! So, is my mamma "good" in the eyes of God? The answer is simple, it's a resounding NO! You may think that's harsh but its reality. The truth is, ALL of us are nasty, tainted, dirty, broken, worthy of eternal damnation in the eyes of Almighty God! The Word says that there is NONE righteous, no not ONE! It also says that our righteousness is as filthy rags(that means that on our very best day, we're as good as used menstrual rags!). Not exactly what you want to hear when trying to boost your self esteem. Even the most righteous, if he has committed one sin, is worthy of far greater than anything he faces on this earth! He's worthy of Hell. And you must realize this, Hell isn't Hell because of fire, the torment there doesn't come from the eternal flame, the torment is the reality of eternal separation from the only thing good, GOD ALMIGHTY!

We ALL deserve more than hurt, cancer, molestation, famine, sickness, death, we ALL deserve HELL, we deserve to be cast away from God for All eternity because of one thing, SIN! And we're ALL GUILTY! No need for a trial, no need to plead our case, we're Guilty!

See, the question "Why do bad things happen to good people?" is a self defeating question because there's no such thing as "good" people!

With that comes the greatest story of mercy and grace. Though we're worthless, broken, tainted, guilty, and rebellious toward God, He loved us! While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us! He didn't die for what you might be, he died for the sinner you are! At this point, we HAVE to dive into mercy and grace! What is mercy? Mercy is when you're guilty, deserving of punishment yet you're pardoned! Being pardoned means that the penalty you deserved is paid in full, you're free from that sentence! Now mercy is enough to praise God for! If you've accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, you've been pardoned from Hell! Your sentence has been paid in full, your crime has been remitted, your sins forgotten! Your record is clean! That's mercy! That's enough to shout and praise God for for ALL ETERNITY! Thank you Jesus for mercy! Thank you for paying our price, being our ransom, bearing our sin! He became sin, who knew no sin! But here's how God works, His sole purpose is to bring glory to himself, as is our purpose. How can he do that through us, using Himself to bring us back to Him! Mercy excludes us from the punishment we deserve but this great story pales in
comparison to the greatest story ever told! The story of GRACE! Mercy is nothing when we truly understand Grace! Where mercy is a candle, Grace is the sun! Where mercy is a single rain drop, Grace is the ocean!

Grace has been described for years as "unmerited favor." This is a simple definition that leaves me unimpressed. As I sought God and read His Word I began to literally drown in GRACE! It CHANGED my LIFE! Paul was blinded by Grace himself on Damascus road and it changed his life! Paul tell us, that if we realize the depth of Grace then we will live our lives chasing God, unconcerned with the things of the world. I ask myself many times, how can people who claim to know God be so easily lured by the flesh? It's simple, they don't understand grace!

What is grace? Well let me ask you this question first (if you don't have children, imagine you do), what would you do if someone murdered your beloved child? That's a question that cuts to the deepest part of the heart huh? The least I could hope to do as a Christian is to forgive right? That would be the hardest road to travel as a parent, forgive the one who took the life of my baby. Well, when or if we would forgive, would be mercy! It was our sins that placed the son of God on the cross, our wrongs caused his pain, our rebellion cut him, whipped him, crucified him, we murdered the only begotten son of GOD! That's right, you're guilty! Yet God in His mercy pardoned us from our punishment of eternal separation from Him. But where mercy could not go, Grace travelled on! GRACE says, even though you murdered my beloved son, I'm giving you everything intended for Him! You're now my son, you're now my daughter! I'll give to you everything I give to Him! You are now joint heir to my throne! WOW, WHAT? That's right, you murdered my son, I give you everything! All I see in you is the one you murdered, yet instead of hurt it brings me joy, instead of grief, it brings me satisfaction! Why? Because it brings Him glory!

Now back to the topic at hand. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" The reality is that there's no such thing as "good" people. Bad things simply happen, all because of this broken world we live
in, which is a direct result of sin! It's the consequence of rebellion toward our creator! But God is so amazing that he takes what is bad and uses it for his own glory!

All these "bad" things have purpose. The question is, do you search for the purpose, learn from the purpose, and allow the "bad" to be used of God for good? I'll end with this. Twenty three years after my mamma had cancer, I finally "got it." I was praying and meditating one day and it hit me! If my mamma would've never had cancer, I wouldn't be a Pastor, Singer, Teacher, and Preacher! I wouldn't be fulfilling God's purpose in my life. You see, each time mom had a treatment a friend of the family would come to the house and sing her a song. Throughout my own life I have suffered from social anxiety and a panic disorder. I didn't do public speaking, hated crowds, and definitely hated being the center of attention! At the age of 21 I wanted to pay homage to my mom and her stedfast faith, so the night I was to be baptized I decided to sing that song for her! A one time thing resulted in a life of singing. Which lead to teaching, servitude, preaching, and now pastoring. It all lead back to mom having cancer! I asked her once, "was it worth it?" Her reply was simple, "I'd do it all again!" Now friend, that's what I call Grace!

I hope I've answered this tough question for you and I pray God draws you in and drowns you in his infinite, amazing, beautiful GRACE!

"I Want To Be Close To God!"

"How Do I Get Close To God!"
Piety........
Humility....... Love.......
Joy....... Peace...... Long-suffering .......
Gentleness......... Goodness.......... Faith........ Meekness....... Temperance.......
I get asked often, "Pastor, how do I get closer to God?" I "do" the "right" stuff, I don't do "bad" stuff. Then they reveal the checklist they've kept and claim approval before God based on merit and ask, "Why does God feel so far away?" Isn't it strange that we quote Ephesians, "for by grace are ye saved through faith. Not of works lest any man should boast." Yet turn right around and base our standing with God on what we do. Now understand this, a true disciple of Christ will bear fruit in action and deed but its not in the form of a checklist. It doesn't lie in how many hours you volunteered, how much money you donated, how often you go to church, how many times you say the name Jesus, how little you drink, how little you cuss or blah, blah, blah! It has NOTHING to do with you! The fruit of the Spirit is revealed in us when Christ is everything to us! As John Piper says, "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him!" Your value doesn't come in what you can do for God but in what God did for you in the redemptive power of the cross and the blood Jesus Christ shed! When he said "It is finished!" He meant just that, stop trying and simply be satisfied in Him! Then the Spirit will perform its purpose, and flourish and the flesh will die. And the things you wanted to do but couldn't will begin to take place and the things you tried to abstain from but couldn't will be easy to resist when you're blinded by grace! Can a good tree bring forth evil fruit? Not at all. You claim Christ yet have arrogance, you claim Christ yet you're just like the pharisee, praying "thank you lord that I'm not like the publican." See, scripture teaches that God is near unto the humble and contrite spirit, He's near unto those who understand that their righteousness is as filthy rags. He's close to those who are broken, torn, tattered, and bruised. He's near unto those who realize their insignificance outside of him! He's near unto those who humbly resist their own efforts and solely trust in Him! Do you really know what these words mean or do you just read over them and think yea, thats me?

Humble :having a feeling of insignificance, inferiority, subservience, etc.
low in rank, importance, status, quality, etc.; lowly:

Contrition:  sorrow for and detestation of sin with a true purpose of amendment, arising from a love of God

Love: An unconditional commitment to positive action toward someone without the expectation of return.

Joy: the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something
exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation:

Peace: freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction, anxiety, an obsession, etc.; tranquillity; serenity.

Long-suffering: enduring injury, trouble, or provocation long and patiently.

Gentleness: not severe, rough, or violent; mild:

Goodness: moral excellence; virtue.

Faith: the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Meekness: humbly patient or docile, as under provocation from others.

Temperance:  moderation or self-restraint in action, statement, etc.; self-control.

These are the eleven steps to communion with God!

Galatians 5:22-23King James Version (KJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Psalm 34:18King James Version (KJV)

18 The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Isaiah 57:15King James Version (KJV)

15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Grace: Get The Vision!

So often in church lingo we hear the words Mercy and Grace. Yet I don't think we truly conceptualize the infinite value or cost of Grace. We hear the generic definitions of each, mercy is when we don't get what we do deserve (pardon), and Grace is unmerited favor (we get what we don't deserve). Both of these definitions are true but they fail to truly allow the recipient of mercy and Grace to see and understand just what grace is. There's a reality that is rarely preached, it's a vital core to the Gospel. That truth is this, if we fall madly in love with grace, if we are awestruck by grace, if we are blinded by grace then we will be the children of God he intended us to be. So many want a check list of do's and don'ts so when they're completed they can feel good about themselves and believe that they're "good enough." This is called the prIde of life, boasting in the flesh. The reality is simple, no on is EVER good enough. All I hear from the legalistic crowd is, don't do this, don't do that, shame, regret, and hopelessness. Here's a good illustration, I never wake up telling myself I better not commit adultery today, I better not commit adultery today, I better not commit adultery today. Why? Because I'm so in love, so awestruck, so dedicated to my wife that those thoughts are not even in question. All I hear from the left is that God loves you no matter what you do, live life and do what you want and God will forgive you.  While this is technically true, someone who really understands grace would be so enamored  by its beauty and would thus strive to uphold it's integrity. Let me ask you a question, what would you do to someone who murdered your child? It'd be hard not to do or wish them harm. It'd be even harder to forgive. Let's use that thought in light of Grace. What would grace do? Mercy would be to pardon the killer, he doesn't get the punishment he deserves. Now listen how far grace goes. Grace says, you murdered my child. I pardon you, I forgive you, I adopt you as my own, you are now my child, that's not it though, I will bless you as much as I blessed my own child, I'll give you everything I have and everything I  am! I am grace, and I have no limits! You say, Preacher, that can't be true. Think about it, we murdered God's son, Jesus Christ, with our sins. His death was a door, a door to mercy. Because of his death we obtained mercy, we don't get the Hell that's deserving because of our sin. He then adopts us as children, joint heirs with the one whom we slayed! Then he proceeds to bless us, lead us, and love us, just as he loved his only begotten son, Jesus Christ. And at the end of it all, he gives us all that he has and all he is! See, if we truly understand Grace, there's nothing else that has enough beauty to cause us to even consider stepping outside of Grace! Fall in love with Grace, be swept away!

What Does A Sheep Look Like?

What Does A Sheep Look Like?

True prayer consists of more than simply requesting a laundry list of needs. True prayer begins with a look into the mirror of our souls and repenting of coming up short of the holiness required by God.The Hebrew word tefilah (תפלה) comes from the verb pallel (פלל), "to judge."' We use the reflexive verb lehitpallel ("to pray"), which also means "to judge oneself." With that said, all throughout scripture, a Disciple is presented as sheep and Christ the shepherd.  So I ask you this question, are you a sheep? Do you know what a sheep looks like?

I don't want to give you an opinion but only scripture. See, we tend to judge others and ourselves based upon man's traditions. If I were to ask you to pick out "sheep" while standing at Wal Mart you'd probably choose the well dressed, polite, and clean cut. If we did the same at the church you would probably choose the tither, Sunday school teacher, or the Pastor. If we did the same at any place we would base our judgments upon what we've heard, been taught, and tend to believe when the reality is far from it.

There are many clean cut, well dressed folks that pay tithes and go to church yet are far from being sheep. There are many Pastors, Sunday school teachers, polite people who are miles away from being a sheep. There is a stark reality that I see among contemporary "christianity" (emphasis on the lower case c, it's just a name not a reality) where if you praise God, sing a song, attend worship, don't do really bad stuff then you are a sheep. This is A LIE!

There's great news though, Jesus himself gives a quiz to reveal your true identity, a sheep or a goat. Now salvation is through faith alone in grace alone but the results will shine forth in our deeds as faith without works is dead. It's not the works that gives us faith but faith that draws us to works.

Jesus said, did you feed me when I was hungry? Did you give me water when I was thirsty? When I was a stranger did you take me in? Yea, he really asks that! Did you clothe me when I was naked? Did you visit me when I was sick? And no that's not the Pastor's job. Did you come to me when I was in prison? See, if you do it unto the least of these, you've done it unto Christ!

If you can't say you practice these few and simple commands from the Lord, you are a GOAT! No excuses, no weaseling out, no retirement from it, no exceptions, no loop holes, no maybes, no I would if such and such, NO WAY AROUND IT!

That's what a sheep looks like. The flock(the Church) has been over ran by a generation of selfish, self centered, self righteous goats. And by the way, sheep breed sheep, goats breed goats! So, judge yourself, look into the mirror of the words of Christ himself. What does a sheep look like?

Matthew 25:31-46King James Version (KJV)

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
